LocalClarity constructed a new process to index local landing page hourly and push any identified updates to Google.
Continuous synchronization between disconnected systems
Hundreds of hours saved annually
An Australian restaurant chain faced significant difficulties in synchronizing their special holiday hours across Google Maps and search results. Each of the chain's locations operated with unique sets of regular and holiday hours, tailored to both local and national observances. While they had developed an internal system to update hours on their website landing pages, they lacked a centralized dataset that could be used to uniformly update their local listings on Google.
The LocalClarity team collaborated with the restaurant chain to establish a "Single Source of Truth" for operating hours. Together, they developed a custom solution that indexed each restaurant's landing page hourly to detect changes in regular or holiday hours. Detected changes are automatically logged and pushed to Google to update the listings. Additionally, a new reporting system was implemented to track and share all changes executed daily.
The client achieved perfect synchronization, with website changes automatically updated on Google within an hour of modification. This automation has freed the marketing team to concentrate more on customer acquisition and retention, significantly reducing the workload associated with managing data integrity.
This initial installation worked so well, the sponsoring agency client sold similar functionality to other brands.
At LocalClarity, we understand that sometimes the greatest value generation comes from simply listening to our clients’ concerns and crafting tailored solutions. This success has enabled us to offer similar custom Single-Source-of-Truth solutions to others, demonstrating our commitment to scalable, client-focused service enhancements.
