Listing Image Management
March 15, 2022

Today, we launched an entirely new module of the LocalClarity platform, Image Management. Users now have unparalleled visibility and control of the visual media assets presented in their Google My Business profiles.

Photos and videos serve as the cornerstone of every local listing’s visual presence in search. They draw the searcher’s attention, demonstrate physical location details, highlight offerings, and share social proof. Unfortunately, they can also inhibit customer acquisition when brand imagery is not optimized and public images are left unmoderated.

Details

The Image Management section provides several layers of enhanced visibility and control for all media assets presented to the public. The new module has three sections:

  • Brand - View all images uploaded to Google by the business. Search and filter to identify the exact images driving customer engagement. Use the new controls to directly delete images or add metadata (#tags) to organize the content.
  • Public - See all photos and videos currently shared by the public in local search results. Use the new controls to request image removal and track the status of removal requests. Explore which public images are being elevated by Google over brand images in search results.

Next Steps

This is just the first release. Users can expect to see the following updates in the coming months.

  • Enhance filtering by image classification or #tag.
  • Ability to bulk upload images with assigned #tags.
  • Ability to delete brand images in bulk.
  • Visibility of media assets by individual location to confirm optimal presentation for all locations.
  • Additional image details, controls, and navigation to location listings and connected reviews.
  • Additional reporting for media views by classification or #tag.
