The Retroactive Sentiment Analysis Scans feature has been introduced to empower users to analyze past reviews effectively, automating the tagging of topics, sentiment scores, and identified emotions.
The more reviews you have, the harder it is to see the themes across locations. LocalClarity's review sentiment analysis first identifies that topics contained in each topic and then scores the positive or negative sentiment and the emotions expressed. This data becomes even more valuable as you can look at trends and seasonality across time, so we have built into the platform functionality to trigger a scan of historic reviews.
The first thing you'll see when you go into Settings > Review Management is that we have extended the sections into three tabs.
ReviewsInbox Configuration
Set the options for which details are is presented in the ReviewsInbox™, from the location elements above the review detail right pane to the synchronization settings.

The initial update allows users to trigger a Retroactive Sentiment Analysis Scan on their repository of past reviews. Upon initiating the scan, the system will run through each review and auto-tag identified topics from the reviews, assign sentiment scoring on a 5-point scale (extremely negative to extremely positive), and then tag any identified positive or negative emotions expressed.
These identification can then be accessed in downloaded reports for aggregation.
The Retroactive Sentiment Analysis Scans feature will soon be available for Competitor reviews. This will provide the data foundation for an entirely new reporting structure for both internal and competitive reporting. Stay tuned for these exciting developments!
