Frequently Asked Questions
Can I add multiple links for the same platform?
No, you can only add one link per platform. For example, you can only link one Facebook or Instagram account. If you have multiple locations, it's best to connect the local profiles to the local listing instead of using the corporate ones. This helps customers stay in the local area they’re searching for.
How do I change or remove a social media link?
Just follow the same steps as above. Once you're in the “Social profiles” section, you can enter a new URL or click the trash icon to remove it altogether.
Does linking social media help with local search rankings?
While linking social media directly might not boost your local search ranking, having a more complete and up-to-date profile is a ranking factor. Plus, having your social profiles available gives customers more ways to interact with your business, which can boost engagement and brand awareness.
Does Google automatically add social media links?
Occasionally, if your GBP and social media profiles have the same name, Google might automatically link them. If this happens and you want to change or remove them, you can easily do so by following the steps above.
