Be Careful When Selecting 'On-Site Services' Attributes
Google Business Profile's (GBP) "on-site services" attribute has proven problematic. There seemingly isn't a way to regulate it and while GBP is a great tool for businesses to use to get found, validated, and understood, this is one feature that hasn't been adequately resolved. Using your GBP to highlight amenities (free WiFi, outdoor seating, as so on), health and safety information, and the option of online appointments, are all great examples of how to get the most out of your listing, but "on-site services" might not be worth struggling with.
Be careful when selecting the "on-site services" attribute. Users have recorded that, once selected, it is difficult to disable, reading "on-site services not available" which overrides the provided justification. Once a user selects "yes” or “no" for the attributes “online appointments" or “on-site services”, they are guaranteed it will present to the public. If a user selects “yes,” Google will show “on-site services” on their Profile, and if a user selects “no,” Google will show “on-site services not available,” and these will override every other type of Justification. There’s no immediate solution to this problem. Users who have tried to contact Google support about this, have been told there is no way to remove this attribute once activated.
