Categories that Require GBP Address Listed
Google intentionally has created listings that are set up as service area businesses and will not have access to certain categories. Google states they are doing this to help prevent spam on Google Maps which has been a huge ongoing battle for as long as Google Business Profiles have existed. The only way to have certain categories like "Auto Glass Shop" or "Pilates Studio" is to have a physical address listed.
According to Google, it is important to use a precise, accurate address and/or service area to describe your business location. P.O. boxes or mailboxes located at a remote location aren't accepted. Google's rules are attempting to prevent spam. Additionally, suite numbers, floors, building numbers, and so on can also be included. Business owners can include information like cross-streets and nearby landmarks in regions where the official street address doesn’t accurately establish the location.
