Google has updated their Business Profile Category list of over 4000 to provide users with categories that fit their business. This is the first major update to the GBP category list since July 2024.

New GBP Categories:

• IV therapy service
• Physical rehabilitation center
• Psychosocial therapist
• Rental car return location
• Data center

Google has also removed categories from their list. This is the first major removal of business categories since May 2024. This business categories have been mostly removed due to there being overlap with other categories or them being under utilized by the majority of users.

• Bus and coach company
• Coat wholesaler
• Commercial cleaning service
• Commercial refrigeration
• Corporate entertainment service
• Cosmetic and perfumes supplier

• Industrial door supplier
• Industrial framework supplier

• Newspaper advertising department
